Resources for Parents

What do you say when parents ask about accreditation and planning for camp, or they have questions about a hot topic like online social networking? Refer them to www.CampParents.org, an online resource designed specifically for parents, which offers expert advice from camp professionals. The site is also available in Spanish.

Camps Can Join Nickelodeon’s Go Healthy Challenge
Nickelodeon’s latest initiative the Let’s Just Play Go Healthy Challenge, in partnership with the Alliance for a Healthier Generation—a joint initiative of the William J. Clinton foundation and the American Heart Association—inspires kids to make healthier daily choices. The multimedia campaign also provides community resources, including instructional tool-kits and event planning materials to assist youth-serving leaders in facilitating their own local Go Healthy events. All resources are available on www.EverythingNick.com.
