Play in Your Camp Community
U Play! is a 3-day training that provides all the tools and know-how you need
to promote play and build great playspaces such as playgrounds, skateparks, sports
fields and ice rinks in your community.
Join the national non-profit KaBOOM! in
New Orleans, February 8-10, for the award
winning University of Play (U
Play!).
Attendees of U Play! will:
- Get the facts on why play is vital
and how to rally your community around
your project.
- Participate in workshops, led by experts,
on every aspect of building a playspace
(best practices, finding volunteers,
resources and funding).
- Receive priority consideration for
training scholarships and challenge grants
up to $5,000 each to be used towards
play equipment.
- Learn from playspace designers, funders,
and successful playspace organizers.
- Hear nationally renowned speakers motivate
and inspire on topics from community
organizing and fundraising to the importance
of play.
- Get hands-on experience by participating
in an actual playground build.
