Promoting Play in Your Camp Community
The Benefits of Volunteering

Promoting Play in Your Camp Community

U Play! is a 3-day training that provides all the tools and know-how you need to promote play and build great playspaces such as playgrounds, skateparks, sports fields and ice rinks in your community.

Join the national non-profit KaBOOM! in New Orleans, February 8-10, for the award winning University of Play (U Play!).
Attendees of U Play! will:

  • Get the facts on why play is vital and how to rally your community around your project.
  • Participate in workshops, led by experts, on every aspect of building a playspace (best practices, finding volunteers, resources and funding).
  • Receive priority consideration for training scholarships and challenge grants up to $5,000 each to be used towards play equipment.
  • Learn from playspace designers, funders, and successful playspace organizers.
  • Hear nationally renowned speakers motivate and inspire on topics from community organizing and fundraising to the importance of play.
  • Get hands-on experience by participating in an actual playground build.

To register or for more information visit www.kaboom.org, e-mail uplay@kaboom.org or call us at 202-659-0215.
