A profound love of art linked Sylvia and
Solomon Schwartz and Siri Schwartz Mills-Beierlein;
they truly enjoyed sharing their passion
with younger generations. The Schwartz
Family Campership Art Fund was created
to combine their devotion to cultivating
youth art appreciation with the other family
passion: bringing life-changing experiences
to children in a camp environment. With
your contribution, we have been able to
honor the memory of our beloved family
members the best way we know how: by giving
children the opportunity to have a camp
experience and to enrich their skills in
the arts.
The Brooklyn Cultural Adventures Program
(BCAP) offers a summer camp experience
designed to encourage art awareness in its campers. BCAP's range of activities
across the Brooklyn Museum and Brooklyn Children's Museum perfectly suit
the art-education goals of Sylvia, Sol, and Siri.
We are so proud to announce that this
year's donations to the Schwartz
Family Campership Art Fund were used to sponsor summer BCAP sessions for two
deserving Brooklyn children whose families would not otherwise have the means
to make the experience a viable option. This scholarship is especially fitting,
we thought, because of the Schwartz family's Brooklyn roots.
Our family is comforted by knowing that
the Schwartzes continue to give to children
and to live on in the continuation of their
passion. We cannot thank you enough for
joining us in honoring them, and in becoming
a benefactor of their good work.
The Schwartz Fund is managed
by the American Camp Association. To make
a donation, please use the ACA
Gift/Contribution Form.
